What To Eat After Two Jaw Surgery?

The most asked question after the two jaw surgery,
"What do I need to eat after two jaw surgery?"
"What not to eat after the surgery?"

Patients who underwent two jaw surgery have elastic bands fixed to their teeth, just like when we get a cast after breaking legs or arms.
Fixed teeth have limitations when it comes to food, and patients have to be really careful of what they eat.

After the surgery ~ 2 weeks
This period is critical as the chin bones are healed. Therefore, taking only liquid food is recommended such as milk, soybean milk, soup, and yogurt.
Using a straw to drink is also prohibited, so use a spoon to drink.

2 weeks ~ 1 month
After 2 weeks, compression garment will be removed. And, drinking porridge is also allowed from this period.

After 1 month
Patients are allowed to drink soup with ingredients in it. But taking hard and spicy food is still not allowed to take.

After 2 month
Many patients are able to have a normal meal usually after 2 months.
And most importantly, don't forget to rinse your mouth after eating. Firstly rinse with sterile water that was given from the clinic and later with normal saline solution. (Don't use Listerine!)
Washing your teeth will be available after taking the stitches out.
