From big and bulbous nose to sharp and slim nose..

What's the ideal ratio of nose?
It usually gives a dull impression if the nostril is wider than than the nose and the width of philtrum. On the other hand, it gives a refined impression when the width of nose and philtrum is the same from the frontal view.

The ideal look of nostril is the shape of a bean and the ratio of height of the bridge and nostril is 6:4. While the Westerners usually have big nose cartilages, Asians have thick soft tissue covering the nose tip instead.

What is bulbous nose surgery?
Suitable for patients who have wide nostrils and blunt tip. This surgery will make into small and naturally pretty looking nose.

The surgery method 

1. Alar inner binding

This method is done in case which nostrils are not too wide, but the bottom of nostrils instead. Minimum incision will be made below each nostril and tie them together with medical threads to gather the tip of nose.

2. Nasal skin resection

This is done when the soft tissue of nostril is thick. Cut the skin under both nostrils and stitch them up together to reduce the size of nostrils. 

3. Tip plasty

If the end of nose looks low, use Setpum cartilage or any other cartilage from your body to build a support. Then, pull up the cartilage tip and tie them to the support. As a result, nose will be raised and nostrils will look like collected. 

4. The osteotomy

This method is suitable when you have a wide nose in overall. Cut the outside nasal bones then bring them in.
