“Please fix it a little naturally!!!”


“Please fix it as much as possible apparently!!!”





I hear a lot of these types of comments when I have a consultation with patients at outpatient department or have a consultation just before surgery.


Many people think that 'naturally' is a little bit change, and 'apparently' seems to a huge change.




However, actually 'natural' does not mean a little change, but it means that the changed appearance does not seem awkward or to have a plastic surgery apparently. The amount of change can be increased as needed and it can be natural at the same time. If the appearance changes do not seem awkward or too apparent like the original appearance, it will seem natural despite of the great changes.



On the contrary, 'Being apparent' means that it is obvious that someone had a plastic surgery. Even if it changes a bit, the shape does not seem like it was originally. Even if it changes a little, it seems that someone has a plastic surgery when it is too obvious. The expression for being apparent awkwardly after surgery is so called ‘plastic surgery monster.’




I see for natural beauty. Natural beauty refers to changing as needed for the best. The changes look like the way they were so it does not leave the surgery marks. It seems just like it used to be.


Often, there is a case that face after surgery looks pretty but it looks obvious that that person had plastic surgery. Because of this reason, people might think that if the surgery result is obvious, it looks beautiful. However, even in this case, it looks beautiful because there are beautiful parts already, not because the surgery result is apparent. If the surgery result was not too apparent, it would seem more beautiful.



When a person who is originally beautiful has a plastic surgery, the amount of change should be controlled well precisely. If controlling the amount is failed, the surgery result will be awkward and too obvious. Generally, there are more cases that the surgery result is apparent for the person who is originally beautiful. In this case, when the amount of change after surgery is well controlled precisely, the result will be natural and beautiful. This is what I seek for plastic surgery.
