What to avoid after double eyelid surgery

One of the most common surgery is probably double eyelid surgery. People consider it as rather a quick and simple surgery. However, after care should shouldn't be treated simple.

Today's post is to let you know about what are the things to avoid right after the double eyelid surgery.

1. Washing face
The most asked question after the surgery is about washing face. Before removing the stitches, gently dab the face with a wet towel or only wash with water. Removing stitches will be in 4~7 days after surgery. 


2. Makeup
Don't apply the makeup right in the surgery area, but applying light makeup such as BB cream is possible. However, eye shadow or eye liner will affect the area, so it's best to avoid for 2-3 weeks.

3. Wearing contacts
It's best to apply after a month since inflammation might be caused when trying to put contacts inside your eyes. The upper eyelid skin might be pulled and the attached strings in your eyes might get loosened up. 



Patients who underwent double eyelid surgery with incision method usually takes longer for swelling to go away. 
Put your head higher than your heart during sleep, and gently massage the area with ice pack.
