No. 8 Cosmetic essay by Dr. Lee Jin soo- Does life change when you change your face?

When you see an object, you feel it in its visual image. This is called an impression. Of course there are impressions when you look at people. When plastic surgery changes your face, it makes a different impression on everyone who treats you. Different impressions appear in different reactions, and the sum of those different reactions changes the life. It's easy to predict that plastic surgery will change one's life if your impression is changed well and make a good impression on others.

I've done a lot of plastic surgery for the cases in TV series 'Let Me in'. In fact, I've appeared in a variety of makeover programs other than Let Me in, but since it  has a high profile, so let me give you an example of Let Me in. Let Me in is a program that selects people with difficult situations due to poor appearance and improves their appearance through plastic surgery. If you've ever seen this program, you've probably found that it's amazing how much they've improved their appearance. With such a big change in appearance, I expected that his or her life would change a lot.

Let Me in was produced until season 5. At the start of the first season, the show lasted more than five years. According to the production team, when they looked back at the people who appeared on the show years later, their lives improved significantly, but some people were living a life that didn't changed much differently before the surgery. Changing your face doesn't always change your life.

There's a lottery story that became the talk of the town in the news recently. It is said that the winner of the first prize in Power ball, an American Lotto lottery, will receive 854.8 billion won. Many of those who earn such a fortune are suffering from unexpected ups and downs such as fraud, divorce, drug addiction, or even murder. It was a matter of spending money at random without much preparation for how to spend it. The rules of action that must be taken when a large amount of money is offered by various U.S. media outlets include thorough planning and preparation for the use of the money before receiving the party's money.

So is plastic surgery. You have to be ready to live well only when you are ready to live with the changed face. You can't expect to change your life just by changing your face. Life can be changed only when you're the right person to change face.
I think plastic surgery can be enough to change your life. But it's not much more than a turning point. After the turning point, life can change only when one's own efforts change one's own life. Einstein's famous quote comes to mind.

"Don't dream of a different tomorrow, living today like yesterday."
