No.14 Cosmetic essay by Dr. Lee Jin soo- Surgery which works like a charm-Facial bone surgery
There are two wishes for plastic surgery
that the patients has. One is that they want to have a big effect on surgery,
and the other is that I don't want anyone to know that they've had surgery.
The most common plastic surgery, double
eyelid surgery or rhinoplasty are hard to be hidden. It's very visible, and the
difference is noticeable. Because these surgeries are most common, I get the
most cases of them. You can often see self-proclaimed professionals who claim
that they are really good at noticing the differences.
But my favorite field of facial contouring
and double jaw surgery is different.
Facial contouring and two jaw surgery are
typical facial bone surgery.
Facial surgery is a surgery that changes
the contour of the face, and it typically includes cheekbone surgery, square
jaw surgery, and tip of chin surgery. A double jaw surgery is a procedure that
changes the position of the upper and lower jaw bones and it’s used to correct
the malocclusion or to solve the problem of facial shape due to abnormal jaw
position.
Facial bone surgery is usually done by
incision inside of the mouth, so the scar is very small or little which is
invisible. Therefore, no one can figure out facts with an incision scar. It's very
difficult to tell if a face that has undergone bone surgery just by looking at
the face after surgery. People just think you lost weight or you got skin care.
Even the person who knew the person might
not know whether you underwent surgery or not because they don't remember the
contours of others exactly, they just feel the contours that have changed, and
they don't notice the changes. Facial bone surgery is the most likely surgery
that no one knows about. In short, patients can fulfill both of the wishes of
plastic surgery.
