Director Lee Jin-soo, guest speaker of PRAS KOREA 2019 Under the theme of "Double jaw Surgery."
Hello, This is Faceline Plastic Surgery
Clinic.
Today, I'd like to share with you the news
of Lee Jin-soo's conference.
Director Lee Jin-soo has been attending the
annual conference for 15 years since 2005 to introduce his research activities
and know-how. Lee Jin-soo's lecture was held at the Grand InterContinental
Seoul Parnas Convention in Samseong-dong for three days from November 8 to
November 10 at PRS KOREA 2019, an annual conference for the 77th Plastic
Surgery Society, and two academic conferences and one symposium on the 22nd.
At this conference, Director Lee Jin-soo
gave a talk about corrective surgery for fistula symptoms in a session of 'Bone
Contouring 1' and double jaw Vs non-double jaw surgery. .
The spatula refers to a face shape with the
lower jaw coming forward, most of which is caused by abnormal disassembly of
the upper and lower jaw positions.
Or, the occlusion is normal, but sometimes
the jaw comes out of its appearance and appears to be a spatula.
One of the most fundamental and effective
treatments for the jaw, which is accompanied by an irregular joint, is that it
is the orthodontic surgery that changes the position of the upper and lower
limbs to improve abnormal joint to normal.
If the joint is normal and the jaw is visibly
protruded, the jaw must be placed behind the chin in a double-arm operation to
fundamentally resolve the feeling of the spatula.
However, in some cases, non-corrective
surgery such as fat grafting or facial contouring surgery is applied when it is
not possible to perform a corrective operation. These methods are difficult to
resolve symptoms at their source, but they can have some relief. In particular,
if there is a slight sensation of spatula, it is more effective to perform
liposuction and facial surgery at the same time.
Correcting the spatula symptoms should be
supported by accurate diagnosis and surgery.
Therefore, in choosing a hospital, it is
important to carefully examine whether the surgeon has abundant experience and
know-how in orthodontics, whether he or she has an anesthesiologist residing in
the hospital, and whether the safety system is well equipped, rather than cost.
