Cheekbone Surgery: Cutting too much doesn't mean it makes your face smaller.
Cheekbone Surgery: Cutting too much doesn't mean it makes
your face smaller.
Hi, this is Faceline Plastic Surgery Clinic.
These days, small and oval-shaped face is a trend as well as
good criteria of a pretty facial shape and qualification of the young face.
The facial contouring surgery is
done by cutting and trimming the big bone to a small and smooth bone.
By the growing interest of facial contouring, more and more
hospital began to perform the facial contouring surgery but it requires a
high-level technique to take account of soft tissues such as vessels, nerves,
muscles, fat and skin. So the precise surgical plan and diagnosis is quite
necessary.
Cheekbone surgery is surgery
that improves the middle space of the face, In other words, cheekbones equivalent
to the mid face.
Cheekbones are located in the
middle of the face so it brings big effects in determining the impression. If
the cheekbones are too big or developed too much, it’s likely to give a strong
and masculine image. Thus, to improve to an oval and slim face, cheekbone surgery
is considered as a priority.
Here, we need to check a few things before the cheekbone
surgery.
First, we need a precise plan. Since
this is the middle part of the face, not only reducing the protruded and wide
cheekbones but also determining the degree of the reduction based on the whole
contours of the face.
While doing cheekbone reduction
and the facial contouring, doctor plans the surgery on the basis of the X-ray,
it only changes the shape of the bone, not the real face.
The soft tissues such as
muscles, fat, and skin are attached to bones and we need to take account how
much this soft tissue reacts to the bone, because it doesn't work uniformly in
all areas.
So to get ideal changes, we need to draw an amount of change
of the real face, reversely taking account of bones, soft tissues, and the area
of resection, angles, and movement of bones.
We call it non-elimination
cheekbone reduction, doctor makes an incision at the front and rear part of the
bones regarding the shape and size of cheekbones and moves the fracture to
inside.
Since the bone and skin are not separated,
it lowered the sagging cheeks without excessive fat.
Once the bones have been removed and moved in accordance with
the surgical plan, they should be rigidly fixed so that the cheekbone can be
well incorporated in the new position. In Faceline, the cheekbones are raised
upwards to secure, so you can expect the skin to go up and lift up together.
Reducing cheekbones is not always
a good thing, but it's an operation that makes your cheekbones look prettier.
Since the overall aesthetic of the face must be considered, I
would say that with experience and rich in know-how plastic surgery
specialists, it is not a uniform surgical plan, but rather a satisfactory way
to achieve the result of considering the complex elements of the current face.
