All of you will imagine the square jaw. The square jaw is a common face that can be easily found, and unlike the egg-shaped face, the jaw is angled and wide, making the face look bigger and rough.

Many people plan for square jaw reduction because it affects their image a lot. Today, I will tell you about the proper square jaw reduction technique.
 



Commonly referred to as square jaw surgery is the edge of the lower jaw, that is, surgery to remove only the mandibular angle.  This is the most commonly practiced procedure.

Mandibular resection surgery is performed only with mandibular resection, making the side lines soft and slender. However, the facial effect that makes the jaws slim from the front is very small, so the face does not look small from the front. Therefore, it is necessary to perform only when you want to remove the angle from the side of the ears and want a rather steep jawline.


Various Combinations of Jaw Reduction Surgery According to Face Type NO. 4

NO 1. Cortical Resection
01 If the angle of the lateral aspect is not much and the tip of the jaw is relatively sharp and the jaw is wide from the front, only cortical bone resection will be performed.




NO 2. Cortical Resection + Jaw reduction
02 If the angle is not severe and the face is wide and the tip of the chin is blunt, the cortical bone resection and long curved jaw reduction surgery will be performed.



NO 3. Cortical Resection + Square Jaw osteotomy
 
 03 In case of a relatively angular jaw line in the profile and a wide view from the front, a cortical bone resection and a mandibular incision are performed together.

 



NO 4. Cortical Resection + Long Curved Jaw reduction+ Square Jaw osteotomy

04 If the profile and frontal view is wide and the tip of the chin is blunt, the cortical bone resection, long curved chin reduction, and mandibular resection are performed together.
