Natural Beauty

“I only want slight surgery so it looks natural!”
“I want the most surgery possible so it looks obvious!”

These are the comments I hear most when consulting outpatients regarding plastic surgery or when consulting just before surgery.

Most people basically think that being ‘natural’ involves changing a little, and ‘obvious’ means changing considerably.

But ‘natural’ doesn’t actually mean changing a little, it means you can’t tell surgery was performed and the change isn’t awkward looking. You can still end up looking natural even after a substantial amount of surgery. It will look natural even if you’ve transformed a lot if the changes aren’t awkward and it still seems like you were originally born that way.

On the other hand, ‘obvious’ means that you can tell surgery was done. Regardless of the amount of change, it will look like you had work done if you end up looking awkward and it doesn’t seem like you were naturally born like that way. It can look obvious even if the change is slight, if it looks like surgery was done. Plastic monster is the expression coined to portray obvious cases.

I always aim for natural beauty. Natural beauty is not changing a little but changing as much as necessary to achieve optimal beauty. The change should appear as though you were originally born that way with no trace of ever having had surgery.

There are occasionally cases when someone has an attractive face but you can definitely tell they’ve had surgery. I think seeing such cases have given people the notion that you will end up beautiful if you have a lot of surgeries that look obvious. However, in such cases, they’re not beautiful because the surgery looks obvious but because there is an attractive part about them. Had surgery not appeared obvious, they would’ve been even more beautiful.

For plastic surgery on those attractive to begin with, the amount of change needs to be adjusted with extreme precision. You can end up looking awkward as though you had surgery from failing to adjust the change properly. If you are attractive, there’s little difference from the optimal appearance and surgery must only tweak this exact amount but when failing to adjust meticulously, the excess change will result in awkwardness. Because it is difficult to adjust the amount of change minutely and precisely, those who were attractive to begin end up in more cases looking like they’ve obviously had surgery. You can end up beautiful yet naturally even in such cases by all means if the amount of surgical change is adjusted precisely, and this is the direction of plastic surgery that I aim for.

Say this now if you plan on getting plastic surgery in the future, “Perform as much surgery as necessary to make it appear natural!”  #naturalbeauty #plasticsurgeryessay
