Full disclosure of trade secrets – What’s achievable without surgery

Charles Darwin stated that primates have facial expressions in a book titled ‘Expression of Human and Animal Emotions’ that was released in 1872. He elaborated that facial muscles express one’s psychological state and the face changes depending on one’s state of mind. I think the fact that one’s psychological state shows on the face is something that everyone comes across in real life, even if it wasn’t pointed out in Charles Darwin's book.

Since I specialize in plastic surgery, I often compare photos before and after plastic surgery. Among these, I look more at the before and after photos of facial contouring or orthognathic surgery, being my area of expertise. What's interesting is that facial contouring or orthognathic surgery only changes the shape of the face, but the eyes, nose, and mouth feel different. The eyes, especially, feel very different in many cases.

Facial contouring or orthognathic surgery reduces the volume of the outer rim of the face surrounding the eyes, nose, and mouth, emphasizing the eyes, nose, and mouth in the center of the face, which has the effect of indirectly making these features look pretty. But among these, the eyes felt so different looking that I covered all the other parts, comparing only the eyes, and discovered something astounding. The eyes actually felt completely different. The eyes changed looking so much more attractive that one might think they’d had eye surgery.

Facial contouring or orthognathic surgery improved their appearance, meanwhile boosting their confidence in their appearance being pleased with their enhanced appearance. And as stated in Charles Darwin's book, the change in state of mind shows in their facial expression.

I think there are two mechanisms to becoming attractive through plastic surgery. One being the surgery actually making you prettier, and secondly, being satisfied with your more attractive self, the confidence of your lively appearance shows in your expression, making you look even prettier. The second of these two mechanisms is something you can achieve even without actually having surgery. Confidence in yourself, assurance, consideration for others, satisfaction with life, and happiness show in your facial expression, and this expression leaves a good impression on others. Someone with the same appearance can make a different impression depending on his/her mental state. I think "Love makes you pretty" is in line with context.

Try practicing making a good expression in the mirror in a composed state today. You can be pretty even without plastic surgery.
